A biographical piece from a neighborhood newspaper which attempts to correct the misconception that Engelbart's main claim to fame is his development of the mouse. In the 1960s at the Stanford Research Institute he and his team "developed hypertext linking;..real-time text editing; integration of text and graphics; on-line journals; shared-screen teleconferencing; and technology that allowed people to collaborate on problems from different remote locations." The article explains how he got there and what he has done since.
